Furthermore, we are supporting and optimizing interfaces to central systems via Opera Exchange Interface (OXI), to the financial systems via Back Office Interface (BOF) or data extracts and to Point of Sale (POS) systems via Opera Interface Versions 8 and higher.

Digitalization – still a riddle wrapped up in an enigma? 25 years ago I had started to work for Micros-Fidelio in Munich. Back then the good old DOS version, “the blue system”, has been the most known and used software worldwide. SQL and Oracle databases, the “new” technology at that time, were already on their way to take over.

Today we are constantly searching for “cloud nine” and it is not unusual that we are brought back down to earth.

The market of old days with few and simple products and providers has become a jungle of opportunities. It is truly beneficial to rise to the challenge of not only looking at the well known providers, but also having a closer look at the interesting newcomers and their products before taking a decision.

There are a zillion questions to be asked, a whole lot of conditions and constraints to be considered. It is totally understandable that a hotel manager and even the IT department of a hotel group are seeking for help with these very specific projects.

Since 2020 we all know for sure that a lot of things can be done and clarified remotely and in video calls. However, special challenges need individual and creative approaches. When something is not fine, very often it is more effective to look at it on-site rather than talking at cross purposes in many emails and calls.

To analyse the situation and identify the source of the issue it is better to see the big picture and not only parts of it. It is not unusual that the root cause is found where you would have never expected it to be. To define the proper solution we also need to know about all conditions and constraints.

Working with you on-site is very beneficial, because we can not only agree to the preferred solution, but we can also directly implement the new process and monitor the results of the implementation. Necessary adjustments can be done on the spot and your team will be trained directly on the job.
